SINGER 4411 Vs 4423: Similarities

Let’s take a look at the similar features of Brother 4411 and Brother 4423 sewing machines before we go ahead and look for the differences.

Although both are great sewing machines still it depends on the user’s requirements.

For example, SINGER 4411 can better serve my needs but for someone else, SINGER 4423 can serve in a better way.

Let’s see the similarities.

Similar Design

The design of both sewing machine is completely similar. If you have just checked the SINGER 4411 sewing machine and someone smartly replaces it with the SINGER 4423 sewing machine without your knowledge, you wouldn’t be able to know that.

They look very much like each other. Both have the same designs and similar controls.

Heavy-duty metallic body

Both the sewing machines are sturdy because they have metallic body frames which not only makes them handle heavy-duty tasks but they are durable too.

They are easy to stitch in almost any type of material such as denim, canvas, and sometimes synthetic leather as well.

Adjustable Stitch Length & Width

As we said above, SINGER 4411, as well as 4423, comes with a very similar design including the controls.

Both sewing machines have a big rotatory dial on the front for the adjustment of stitch length and width. Rotate it clockwise or anticlockwise to adjust the stitch length and width.

Stitching Speed

When it comes to the stitching speed, Both SINGER 4411 & 4423 are real workhorses. I haven’t seen any other sewing machine within this price segment matching their stitching speed.

The sewing machines have the capacity to stitch at 1,100 stitches per minute which makes them fast sewing machines. Even many high-end sewing machines aren’t able to sew as fast as they can!

Top Drop-in Bobbin

Both of them have top drop-in bobbins which makes them easy to operate.

Reverse Stitches

Sometimes when we are sewing heavy material and need to reinforce the stitch to make them hold two or more layers tightly, we need a reverse stitching option in our sewing machine.

Both of them come with these cool features. You just need to control the reverse stitching option with the liver given just below the rotatory dial which is used for changing stitches.

Free Arm

The free Arm feature is really important because very often we need to sew hard-to-reach areas such as collars, cuffs, and sleeves of our project.

The free Arm feature comes in handy in such types of situations. Luckily, both sewing machines have a Free Arm feature. So that’s another great thing about both.

Presser Feet Included: 4

SINGER 4411 as well SINGER 4423 sewing machines come with 4 feet for buttonholes, sewing buttons, and zippers as well as all-purpose feet.

The zipper foot helps you attach a zipper to your jeans and other projects while the all-purpose foot helps you do all the regular stitching jobs.

The buttonhole foot helps you make the buttonhole easily. Although there is a slight difference between the two in how the buttonholes are created.

SINGER 4411 Vs 4423: Differences

After knowing the similarities between both sewing machines, let’s dive deep to learn the difference between them. Though there are not many differences. Just a few that we’ve discussed below.

Built-in Stitches

The built-in stitches are one of the most important features that everyone asks for whenever they go to buy a sewing machine.

Although, not everyone uses all the built-in stitches but still it is one of the features that people want to know about the sewing machine.

Also, in general, the more the number of built-in stitches, the higher will be the cost of a sewing machine. Although that’s not the only feature that contributes to the final selling price of a sewing machine.

SINGER 4423 sewing machine comes with 23 built-in stitches, however, SINGER 4411 has only 11 built-in stitches.

The 23 built-in stitches of SINGER 4423 include 12 decoratives, 6 basic stitches, 4 stretches, & one 1-step automatic buttonhole and 11 built-in stitches of SINGER 4411 include 6 basic, 4 decorative & one 4-step buttonholes.

Buttonholes Type

While the SINGER 4423 sewing machine has 1-step automatic buttonholes, the SINGER 4411 sewing machine has 1 4-step automatic buttonhole. This means SINGER 4423 is more convenient when it comes to making buttonholes.

Automatic Needle Threader

One of the biggest differences between SINGER 4411 & 4423 sewing machines is the SINGER 4423 has automatic needle threader features which are missing in SINGER 4411.

The automatic needle threader is the savior if you do not want to stress your eyes or find it difficult to push the thread through the eyes of the needle.

Price

Finally the price. In general, the price of the SINGER 4423 sewing machine is slightly higher than that of the SINGER 4411 sewing machine. But it doesn’t happen all the time.

If you purchase it online, you can sometimes get SINGER 4423 at the same price or lower than the price of SINGER 4411.

So if you are lucky you may get a good deal on 4423. Although the price difference has never been so big.

Which one should I purchase?

Now, you know the similarities and differences between both sewing machines and are confused about which one you should go for.

Both the sewing machines are good, though the SINGER 4423 sewing machine has added advantages of more built-in stitches and buttonholes.

So if you have planned to 4411, I do not see any reason for not buying SINGER 4423 instead. Because what I can anticipate is the reason for not preferring SINGER 4423 over 4411 is the price! And, since there is not much price difference, one can go for SINGER 4423 itself.
